banzai.music was born out of necessity. For years, we watched streaming platforms grow into billion-dollar companies, while the creators behind the music struggled to make a living. Algorithms prioritize the biggest names, while independent artists have to fight for the crumbs. As a result, local music is increasingly pushed into the background. We decided to stop waiting for change and built our own platform.

The non-profit organization works closely with policymakers to secure the necessary support and enforcement mechanisms for this fair remuneration model.
